At times when commercials are meant to sell a product or a service, we have sought to advise our clients in this industry to reposition themselves as firms coming out with advertisements people talk about. It’s about the Packaging. Being a peaceful, politically stable, tropical country coupled with reasonable cost of living, Malaysia has seen year on year increase in tourist numbers. Our clients running travel agencies have benefited from this tremendously. However, there are tonnes of questions on any tourist minds: What is the best itinerary to optimise my travel expenditure? Where’s the best place to live? Which places of interest should I visit within my precious 4 nights in Malaysia? How about my logistics? By asking these strategic questions, we have managed to conduct a “needs analysis” enabling our clients to formulate a “packaged experience” to answer and accommodate to the basic fundamental demands of any tourist. As a result, services were packaged on an “end to end” theme enticing tourist to come back for more!
ROUTES TO SUCCESS.
From charter buses to school buses; from inter to intra city buses. We have assisted bus companies to obtain financing for bus purchases and securing permits from the Commercial Vehicle Licensing Board (CVLB). More importantly, we conducted viability studies on the best routes for our clients. Essentially, we emphasized that this factor provides the go/no-go to our clients avoiding mistakes before our clients start this rather huge investment.
In the end is WHAT REALLY MATTERS.
When the dotcom bubble bursts years ago, together with it goes the reputation and credibility of ICT companies. Our clients find it hard to stand out and be counted among the leftovers. Our clients have been superbly performing as contractors to virtually all the major telcos in the country. From 2G to 3G services, they are always on top of their game. As they grow, they tend to focus solely on operations as future contracts lie in their deliverables. What we discovered in an efficiency study we conducted was that top line numbers (although astounding) do not show a fair reward to the owners. Inefficiencies in their corporate structure and tax matters were ignored. As such, we sought to propose a corporate restructuring whilst undertaking a tax planning exercise. At the end of the day the owners can taste the fruits of their hard work and can now solely focus on delivering.

The recent years has seen the Malaysian manufacturing industry undergoing tremendous pressure to compete with the likes of producers from China. When major cost components such as labour and raw material is not in our favour, the Government has came up with various stimulus packages to enable our manufacturers complete on the global arena. For companies in transition from infancy to growth, we at Reenfrozz are proud to assist our manufacturing clients to secure grants from Malaysian Industrial Development Authority (MIDA). For companies looking for expansion, we have assisted in securing the necessary financing from SME bank. Tax incentives via accelerated capital allowances were also obtained from the relevant authorities. All in all we are glad to be able to put our clients on a more level playing field with manufacturers from China.
It’s about ANTICIPATION.
It’s about anticipation. From organising concerts to exhibitions, our clients have undertaken many such projects. We have been a key partner in helping them secure these projects. Our role has been to assist our clients study their clients’ aspirations and objectives. Yes, it’s about bottom line for our clients, but it’s more than numbers that matter to their clients. Let us take organization of exhibitions as an example. How many visitors walk through that exhibition gate and what’s the take up rate of the booths? Qualitative results are also imperative for their clients; how they assess the overall exhibition and how the visitors feel about such exhibitions. Anticipating these questions; having the numerical and qualitative foresight was our roles in helping our clients secure these jobs. As the global recession spills over to our country, our property market was not spared. Property overhangs has easily become a very popular topic for journalists. Nevertheless, as we have been advising our clients, even as the cake is shrinking, there is still a cake. Meaning they are still property buyers out there. As such, we have formulated a strategic marketing program for our clients; our main advice is that in the face of this cash flow crunch, despite slowing down on expenses, they’d have to do the reverse, invest heavily in marketing, but more focused on target clients. The conventional method of construction has culminated in thousands of redundant contractors in the Nation. From small timers to the A Class, contractors learned that they have to look at the private sector and not just rely on Government initiated jobs which are few and far between. However, the country has gone beyond this conventional method and in line with Government’s aim of using Industrialised Building System (IBS) as the way forward, we have consulted our clients on re-positioning themselves in this paradigm shift, stamping their footprints on this new value chain. Re-positioning strategies involves vertical integrations suited to the approach of IBS championed by the Construction Industry Development Board (CIDB).

The boom of the hypermarkets has revolutionized grocery shopping in Malaysia. The property growth also gives birth to hundreds of new shopping malls. These have redefined shopping completely. Therefore, small retail shop owners have to adjust to this. As such, we conducted a strategic location study; decentralising investments, spreading out small kiosk retailers in different neighbourhoods. Ultimately, the retailers have a more personal approach and provide convenience for neighbourhoods.

As cost of living increases, the population has seen an exponential growth in small time farming and investments in plantation. People are looking for the extra disposable income believed to be possible from investments in fast yielding crops; crops such as chilli and lemon grass to name a few. Even corporate professionals allocate a good percentage of their pay for these investments. We have assisted farmers to identify suitable land, cheap labour, formulated investment plans and signing of supply agreements with potential buyers.
